Bunny Hill Fun

These beauties were pieced & appliquéd by Dianne. I love all of the Bunny Hill Design patterns.
They are so fun to quilt!

This one is the Simple Pleasures pattern.

So many fun details. I really loved the bird picnic!

This one is Pumpkin Hill.

The back always show the quilting details.

If you hear a buzzing sound. That's me & my machine. Busy & loving it!

Here are a couple pics of sunset from this week. Don't forget to look!

Vintage Spin-The tale of 2 Quilts

It isn't very often that I quilt 2 of the same quilt in one week.

Sheila & Barbara made these beautiful Vintage Spin quilts.

Sheila wanted custom quilting.

The minkee back is perfect.

Barbara had me do a panto, Pretty Paisley by Beany Girl Quilts.

We are enjoying record high temperatures here in the PNW. My lilac is almost done blooming & the lily of the valley are starting to pop. Very early for both.

Guess I'd better go enjoy the sunshine.
Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Archives

Found this draft of a post from last summer. Oops!

This lone star is amazing. Will credit the maker as soon as I can remember their name.
It was very fun to quilt. Loved the colors!

This was the Spee-bi-dah summer raffle quilt. I used camel Signature thread & the Flurry snowflake panel.

We've had crazy weather here. Thursday & Sunday brought back to back wind storms with 66 mph gusts.  Not fun.

Mother Nature extended the gravel beach area to include part of the normally grassy walking path at Camano Island State Park.

There's driftwood logs everywhere. At one point I suspect there were even floating picnic tables. This picture was taken looking south. You can see Hat Island between the tips of
Whidbey & Camano Islands.

Our back yard looks like a war zone from all the blown down branches.
Here's hoping March "goes out like a lamb."

Lynn's Sampler, El's Kitchen

Lynn made this beautiful Eleanor Burns quilt, Quilts from El's Kitchen. It was so much fun to quilt. There will be buttons at the center of each of the flowers in the basket & on the borders. Something different in each block & a scalloped border.
Enjoy!

It's been a busy summer here. A couple Little Mister visits.
Beach time.

Cama Beach craft time.

My Jurassic veggie containers.

Have lost track of how many times this yumminess has happened. So good.

I apologize for being the "absent blogger".
Looking forward to getting back on track.

See you soon.

Winner! Peace By Piece

I started this quilt, Tula Pink's Butterfly, with Kristi Willard. We both wanted to make one.
We met once a month & worked on blocks. Pam & Kay cleaned out their fabric stashes & gave be a big bag of great blues, greens, & purples. Thank you quilting friends. A great start!

I goofed up on the first set of blocks. Check out the big picture of the quilt &
see if you can see what I did.

Not just the first one, but several. A little "reverse sewing" was in my future.

More blocks. The colors are not traditional, like me.

Somewhere in the middle of making this quilt the OSO landslide happened. So many loved ones missing. So I threw myself into piecing this quilt. Thus the name Peace by Piece.

Sections coming together.

Finally together.

Now for the quilting. so it can be hung in our Camano Island Quilters quilt show.

Surprise, a blue ribbon!

A very happy quilter.

A very special Thank You to my family & friends for your support.

Two of my customer's quilts also got ribbons. On was Best of Show, the viewer's choice favorite. I'll do a post & show you them soon.

I am almost done with the stupid cold/cough. The doctor said to expect the cough to last 2 months, great.

Have a great week. It's sunny here in western WA.
Be back soon.
