Shhhh Grandma's Sleeping

Hi everyone! Grandma's sleeping, but she wanted to let you know that you should hop on over to Bunny Tales. Anne is giving away a fat quarter bundle of her new fabric!
I better get back to bed, Mom thinks I'm sleeping! U-oh, maybe I am!

Where does the time go?

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since my last post. It's been
buzzy busy around here. The pictures today are from our Hero Quilt sew day. Since Januray of 2007 this group has made 290 quilts for wounded soldiers through American Hero Quilts. We met at Aunt Mary's Quilt Shop. Linda is in the top picture & the bottom picture is Judeen sewing binding down on one of the quilts. Come join us on February 21st at the Stanwood Senior Center from 10-4.

If you have a minute check out Judy Irish's blog. I got her up & running(she's not a computer person) & we've had a few "conference calls" to answer questions. It looks like she's having fun!

I have taken to buying Lotto tickets. I'm hoping for a big win so I can spend more time with Little Mister. He's a big time giggler now. Can't wait to see him. We have to get web cams, that's all there is to it!

Hope you all have a good week. It you know whated here today. I'm almost afraid to say the "s" word. Just a skiff, roads good but too cold!

Until next tiem...............................Sharon

A snow jelly roll

I can't believe what Mother Nature dished out the past few weeks, but I was very surprised to see this giant snow jelly roll on my car one morning! Our driveway is sloped, good for funny snow, bad for getting out to the road.
During all the crazy weather I was an Internet junkie. Here are some of the things I found-
I missed the best give-away on Valori Wells blog. She was very generous with her new fabric line Urban Flannels.
Mary Lou Weidman has some very funny posts. She had a yummy picture of George Clooney wishing all the ladies Happy New Year & then he disappeared. She must not have checked with his agent before she posted his picture. What a party pooper he is! Watch out for Naked Swimming Man. Maybe that's George!
The "Are You Kidding Me" award goes to Martha Stewart . If I ever did anything like this I know Joanna would have me committed. If you are a cat lover don't miss this one!
Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs has a free(yes, free) BOM through her blog, Bunny Tales. A Tisket A Tasket 13 Months in a Basket. The first block is a snowman in a basket. How about it Sassy's, are you game?
Meg Hawkey has been busy stitching during all the snow. Check out what the
Knot-y Girls have been up to. I left a comment about the Garden Angel. Hopefully she'll do one for every season!
Adrienne has been busy posting recipes at Taste the Joy. I haven't made any of them yet, but definitely will be adding them to my "chocolate" file!
Joanna found a cool purse out of neck ties. She is really into purses. Easier to sew is short spurts with Little Mister. Here's a couple of her other finds Micheal Miller Fabrics & these cute baby shoes.
Have fun looking. Better get cracking here. The dredded dentist appointment today then on to some fun with Judy Irish. She is computer challenged & wants some help with her blog.

Almost Done

"Not Your Grandmother's Log Cabin" is the name of the book that this quilt is in. The quilt name in the book is "Crystal Blue Persuasion". Do you remember that song? I will be teaching a class on February 14th at Aunt Mary's Quilt Shop. I'm almost done with the piecing. What else is there to do when there is snow, snow & more snow? Today I picked out the backing, a nummy aqua Fairy Frost. I am starting to hear that song again in my head,"The Flight of the Bumble Bee". That's because I will be busy quilting it this weekend. Meet the Teacher's night is on Friday the 9th at Aunt Mary's & I need to have this done by then! Come join me for the class.
Remember I always make some kind of chocolate treat!!!!!!!!! Sharon
