Cama Beach Quilt Show

I waited until Saturday afternoon to go see the quilts at Cama Beach. The sun was out & it was much warmer than it had been in the morning. There were quilts everywhere. On the boat house & cabins. It was quite a sight. Hats off to the Cama Quilters for a great show! This was quite the sight! I love the black, yellow & white French Braid. This was done by several of the Cama Quilters who are also members of CIQ. A very well done applique piece of Cama Beach from the water!Theses are the little cabins. Very quaint. You have to "trek" to the bathrooms from these cabins! Lots of kite flying too!

These quilts were displayed on the building where you can rent a boat or kayak. This quilt was a big floral that was cut into squares & sashed in black. A real beauty! These next 2 quilts were part of a display of "Grandmother's Flower Garden" quilts, old & new. This one was made by the Camano Senior Center to be raffled as a fundraiser. I think they still have tickets for sale. My favorite quilt of the day was this one circa 1941. I'm not sure who the owner is. It was all done by hand. Beautiful! If you want a peaceful place for a quick get away, Cama Beach is the place to go. In case you missed my link earlier to the cabins go here now!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!.............Sharon

Sharon,
Thanks so much for posting some of the quilts from Cama Beach, I remember a couple of them from when I still was there and involved. Looks like it was a great weekend for the show.

I still remember the day we started the group and how excited everyone was to be involved in the prosses of making all the beautiful fabrics we got from donations. Was great fun, hugs to all of you who stuck with it.

Thanks again, Audrey McEwen
