Poppies

Here's Stephanie's new quilt for her bed. It's the same fabric group Jonne used here

She wanted an allover design in the middle. So I did vines, leaves & curls.

Here's what the back looks like. Always love the backs!

This is totally not quilt related. This is what the sunrise looks like a 5 a.m. I never get tired of it.

Here's hoping for nice weekend. I'm ready for some sun, how about you?

Quilt Market

Where do I start? How about Sample Spree. I thought we were crazy to go to this. Pre-cuts of the new fabric lines, patterns & notions. Wasn't as bad as I thought.

And I found this. Fabulous fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics. Be still my beating heart.

The designers have lots of freebies promoting their new lines.

Went to a Schoolhouse session with Tula Pink.

This is her booth. Loving the butterfly quilt. It can be used as a BOM & is a progressive skill builder. Already have some interest from a couple CIQ members. Can't wait.

Free pattern & Charm Squares from an EE Schenk Schoolhouse.

One of Jenny's quilts. Go to her blog & see what's new.

Everyone was very gracious about picture taking. Ann's new quilt reminded me of something Mom made for her grandkids in her last year. More on that later.

Heather Bailey's booth was all Portland. "Put a Bird on it" The design is on burlap & chain stitched with chunky yarn.

Their was eye candy everywhere.

One of the first bloggers I followed, PKM. Here she is with her new fabric line.

There you have it. Check out the blogs on the side here for everyone's Market posts.

I'll check back soon. Went to the beach last night & it was grand!

Not sure how I this picture of the Crabapple Hill booth the first time around. It was magical!

Jonne's Quilts

Here are Jonne's latest quilts for one of her friends grown up kids. How luck are they?
This first one is very modern. I think she got the fabric at Pacific Fabrics.

I tried to mix up the quilting & try new things in the different spaces. Pebbles, wiggly lines, feather-ish vines, & swirls. It was a lot of fun & challenging.

This Labrynth is for a guy. Leaf theme seemed perfect.

Some straight lines too.

Fern inspired vines.

Sometimes the back speaks for itself.

I went to Quilt Market last week in Portland. It will have a post of it's own soon. So much inspiration. Great new fabrics & patterns coming soon.

Stay tuned for more soon.

Ann's French Rose

Here's one of the latest quilts to find it's way home. This French Rose was pieced by Ann. I've quilted for her sister Kathy. Thanks for the referral!

I like how she used the twill from the collection for the border.

If you  click on the picture you can see the new leafy ribbon border I did.

Maybe it shows up better on the back. Thanks to Kim S for all her leafy inspiration.

I'm going to Quilt Market in Portland this week. My friend Jenny is demoing her ruler at Schoolhouse.
I'll have a special post about Market. Also stay tuned for 2 mores quilts I'm delivering tomorrow. I tapped into my "modern" quilter for them.

Be back soon.

Big D's Birthday & Nanaland

It's almost time to come home. I kept thinking I was going to post, but it's been so busy.
Here's the birthday Boy eating the pancake pops I made for him. Gotta love Pinterest.
He was really into the cake too.

I have more pictures to add to this post once I get home.
The computer here doesn't always like us.
Be back soon.

So here they are.
This  was one of the 95 degree days.

Some chill time before the  birthday party.

Big D loves books.

My favorite picture. Telling me what the lion says.

Enjoy the sunshine. Be back soon.

A Couple Quilts

Customer Carole made this batik quilt for her granddaughter. I used Daisy Swirl on it.

Even got to write a little something.

Vikki made this pretty Mexican Star. She's not a stippling or feather gal, so I got to play.

My cousin Jane & her husband Norm, along with "Admiral" Winnie are off on a big adventure. Traveling the inside passage to Alaska in their tugboat, Toot Sweet. I took this picture as they passed Camano Island State Park on the first day of the journey.
You can catch up with them here. Point & click & you are on vacation!

I have to run for now. Off to Nanaland for the youngest Little Mister's 2nd birthday. I'll post while I'm there. Have a great weekend.Looks like it's going to be beautiful!
