These beauties were pieced & appliquéd by Dianne. I love all of the Bunny Hill Design patterns. 

They are so fun to quilt!

So many fun details. I really loved the bird picnic!

This one is Pumpkin Hill.

The back always show the quilting details.

This lone star is amazing. Will credit the maker as soon as I can remember their name.
It was very fun to quilt. Loved the colors!

This was the Spee-bi-dah summer raffle quilt. I used camel Signature thread & the Flurry snowflake panel.

We've had crazy weather here. Thursday & Sunday brought back to back wind storms with 66 mph gusts.  Not fun.

Mother Nature extended the gravel beach area to include part of the normally grassy walking path at Camano Island State Park.

There's driftwood logs everywhere. At one point I suspect there were even floating picnic tables. This picture was taken looking south. You can see Hat Island between the tips of 

Whidbey & Camano Islands.

Our back yard looks like a war zone from all the blown down branches.

Here's hoping March "goes out like a lamb."

The T-shirt Quilts

It's' been the year of the t-shirt quilt around here. Either quilting them or making them. I've already shown you one here.
My friend Sally made this for her daughter Sara. Isn't it great?

I like doing quilting something different in each block.

My niece Kendall gave me some of her favorite t-shirts to work with.

I've been having a lot of fun with backs of quilts. Had to put a couple of her extra t-shirts on the back!

I think she liked it.

This morning's sunrise was incredible. 360 degrees of color.

Summer

Summer has started here with a bang. Hot, hot, hot! We are sticking close to home to make sure some idiot doesn't burn down our house with fireworks. 

I go to the beach a lot. Sunsets are the best there.

Here's a tour of all my flowers. Love my flower tower. 

I got the hanging fire fuchsia from the FFA kids at Stanwood HS. It's done very well.

One of my "Something old, something new" creations is the blue colander hanging basket.

The wild, tall nasturtium is one that came up on it's own in my sweet pea pot.

This is a little patio tomato I put in with Jack. A new variety for me this year & doing well.

Come visit tomorrow at the Floyd in Stanwood. Our group has a nice American Hero Quilt display. We'll be there from 9:30-1.

There will be some patriotic items available with a donation. I made 11 of these reversible market bags.

Had to include this shot of the moon coming up over the south end of Camano last night.

December Quilting Part 2

Where does the time go? December was a busy month for me. January proved to be challenging. The mother board on my Gammill went out! 1 week without her was torture! Thanks to Kristi Willard for letting me use her machine for a couple days so I didn't get too far behind.

Back to December finishes. Elaine made this cute tree panel quilt.

Peggy made this cross quilt as a gift for a friend. 

This is Dawn's BIG Irish Chain. 

Leaves always work.

Filling on big borders can be a challenge. Using the piecing as my guide made it much easier.

Jessie made this super cute Owl quilt using Sarah's pattern. Very happy, bright colors.

I've always spend time at the beach near my house. It's a great place to unwind.

Here's what you are missing.

I watched these 2 play forever. They even came up underneath the dock & had a little snack.
