A day at Judy's

Earlier this month "Wild woman" Judy Irish had her friends over for a BBQ & outdoor quilt show. We were all asked to bring quilts & hang them around her yard. That's her in the gazebo talking to friends. This is one of her customer's quilts. Her quilting is fab! This is what the back of it looks like. Ooh la la! I hope someday I can quilt like that! I always love her shiny threads!Karen's ribbon winning Heron.Quilts on the gate.Jenny's Lone Star sampler. Nice quilting Jenny!Hanging out talking & having fun!I can't believe September is only 2 days away. On another countdown to Little Mister's birthday now. 29 more days to go until this Grandma has another week of fun!

Have a great weekend!.....................Sharon

Little Mister

We have been having so much fun! Although I think his parent's
would have given Mister No-Nap to the circus yesterday. Back on track today, he's been sleeping for over 2 hours!
He loves to carry thing around in his mouth like a puppy. The container the pop beads came in is the best toy!

I was looking for a Jump-a-roo at the local baby consignment store when they told me they rented them. How cool is that? So I picked
up a high chair & this great "containment" toy on Monday.

He doesn't always look this serious either.
Better get back to work so I can have more time to play!
See you soon.................Grandma Sharon

Catch Up

Wow, has it been a busy week. Quilting , cleaning & Dad! Here are a couple of the quilts.

The diamond quilt is Jennifer's. Love the colors! This is her first year quilting! She also discovered the Turning 20 pattern & came up with this beauty out of Valori Wells flannel.

Dad took a tumble this past week. He is fine, just a little sore. I went to a fundraising dinner with him on Saturday night. One of the aides at the Suites is in the 3-day Cancer Walk. The food was great, BBQ chicken & ribs, baked beans, potato salad, & a home made biscuit! Dad was "the clean plate club" as usual!

It's Grandmaland here this week. I'll try & upload some pictures
while they are out & about today. I need to quilt, I've been a little distracted!

Happy Grandma Sharon!

Still Here

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Where does the time go?

The black & yellow quilt is Aunt Diane's(one of Little Mister's aunties from The Granary). She is usually a batik gal, so this was "way out" for her. I used Superior Thread's King Tut color Rosetta Stone in the black.

This is a closeup of the quilt Miss Olivia made to enter in the fair.

She's a horse rider & loves purple so I had to use a little purple thread on her quilt.

I'll try & post more later. I went to a BBQ & quilt show at Wild Woman Judy Irish's house last weekend. She has not blogged yet about it. It was a fun afternoon with lots of very talented women.

Better get with it here. Dad took a fall on Tuesday night. He's sore, but mostly okay. Off to the doctor 3rd day in a row with him today. Somehow I've gotten on the roller coaster again. Darn that carny worker anyway!
Took my great nephew Alex, 7 year old funny boy, to McChord AFB & the zoo on Monday. Will definately blog about him later. Still laughing!
On the "single digit" countdown until Little Mister gets here.....5 days to go! Of course it will be nice to see Joanna & Sam too. Joanna will celebrate her 30th birthday while they are here. Where does the time go?
Back later.................................Grandma Sharon
