Here's your chance to win big! Dena's "Sugar Shop" blog is one of the first blogs I got hooked on. She has funny stories about "jumpy kid"(her son) and other adventures in her life. Plus she is a very talented photographer and maker of fantastic bags! She is giving away a $75.00 gift certificate to the online fabric store Over The Rainbow. Be brave, enter, who knows it could be your lucky day! Shhhhh don't tell Joanna I posted twice this week!

This week I am posting pictures of 2 quilts. The Hawaiian flower is quilted with a pantograph, which is a paper design that I follow with a laser light hooked to my Gammill.
The other quilt is called "Monet's Garden". I will be teaching the class at Aunt Mary's Quilt shop this fall. It has a companion quilt "Reflections" that I need to find time to quilt. Some days my spare time is between 1&5 am. Hopefully I'm sleeping then! I'll put a picture up as soon as it is quilted. Took Dad to the doctor yesterday and went through downtown Everett on the way home. It's nice for him to see something different since he doesn't drive anymore. The hanging baskets and flower pots along Colby are stunning. Until next time......Sharon

I've been thinking about what to post on my blog. What could I share that I could post at least once a week(as per my business manager daughter) that would show what I've been doing. So I came up with the Quilt of the Week. I always have at least one that is a favorite. I might even add a Dad story once in awhile. Some are pretty funny. As our parents get older and we 50 somethings find ourselves reversing roles we have to find humor in everyday life!
This first quilt is by my daughter Joanna. It was a buck-a-block pattern from the LQS. I went all out on the quilting. Enjoy!
